The Durant Roll is a census taken in 1907-1910 by the Dept. of Interior to make payment to the Indians in the Mackinac area. It included Indians from the Mackinac Band, Sault Ste. Marie Band, Grand River and Traverse Band. The information included in the Roll is a great help to the people in the area for finding Native American ancestors.
The reference numbers of persons listed on the Durant Roll have been
